Changes For 2026

As this year comes to a close, I would like to share with you all some new things to expect for 2026!

As much as I would like for these to be new years' resolutions, I have learned from experience to make promises you can keep, especially when it comes to business.

Speaking of business...

1) Toon Comm has been given a major overhaul.

Starting in 2026, to get even closer to my dream of getting paid by doing what I love the most, all aspects of Toon Comm have been revamped.

• Commissions
• To make things more affordable in these difficult times, all prices for my commission options have dropped by 40%. In addition to that, all discount options have increased.  
• Raffles 
• Raffles will be available every May and only on May.
• To prevent having no losses through the quantity of participants, winners will also be measured by a percentage of probability (which, at this point, both will be random). 
• The highest quantity and lowest percentage I will allow for 2026 is eighteen participants with a one-third probability of winning.
• Art Trades And... Collabs?
• For the first time ever, I am introducing art collabs! Why, you may ask? Well, I figure it would be cool to see a character in my style interact with another character in another person's style. (That, and improvement of my business and people skills are great necessities to have.)
• This service will be coupled with my Art Trades, meaning Art Requests will be broken off.
• Also, they will only be available in January and September. 
• Art Requests 
• In case if you're worried about not getting the opportunity to do an art request again, don't worry, those will still be around.
• Instead of being available every quarter of the year, they have taken the raffle's role of being available every social medium milestone of 100 followers. These will come rarely as celebrations for my achievements and as a special gift to all of you.
• Because they will come less often, all art request opportunities will be inclusive. In other words, if you are a BlueSky user while my milestone was on Newgrounds, congrats, you still qualify!
• Toon Comm Add-Ons On Patreon & Other Improvements
• On Patreon, you'll get additional benefits to Toon Comm, from Tier II to Tier IV.
• Tier II: Requesters, Traders and Collaborators get the opportunity to request, trade or collab in half the year (specifically in February, April, June, August, October and December).
• Tier III: In addition to the Tier II add-on, raffle bidders get an additional slot to increase their chance of winning!
• Tier IV: In addition to the Tier II and III add-ons, commissioners get one free commission every month!
• You now have the option to select "No Preference" in any part of your description, when you feel like I should have more creative control over what I should make for you.
• Other new options include a new three-quarter body/cowboy shot/medium full shot art type and having no/a different panel as an option in your request, trade, collab, bid or commission.

2) New additions have been made to my official website.

You probably noticed earlier that I have made an availability schedule (which, just so you know, shows a new schedule for today and onward) and sociability schedule on my website.

 

 In addition to that, there is about me/PAS section in the bio, so I don't have to post my important characteristics only to sites that can house them.

 

There is also a section about the OCs I currently use.

 

 

These pages will be expected to be around by and after 2026.

Oh, by the the way, about OCs... 

3) Other than The Cognition, new (and familiar) OCs will arrive eventually.

The Cognition was only the beginning of what I wanted to show regarding new OCs. Although I can't really share with you what these new OCs are at the moment since I am still planning it all, they will CERTAINLY not be what you expect. For now, you'll just have to wait and see.

4) More 2D Animations will be made. 

I cannot say for certain that it can be done around the start of 2026, but I can't stop thinking about creating two animations or more. I sure hope I can find the time for them.

5) I'll be going back to Twitter... with a twist.

I know I said I was going to replace Twitter after I got my Bluesky account. However, there is something about Twitter that makes me want to go back.

 

Now, do I still maintain the belief/truth that Elon Musk brought a wrecking ball to an already-crumbling digital town square that was yet still is Twitter? Yes.

 

Do some artists nevertheless still use Twitter for their personal business? 

Do I miss all the good times I had interacting with Twitter artists during my first formative years as a digital artist? 

Did all the bad times helped me learn to strive for something better than myself at the time?

Also yes.

 

Unlike the Twitter account I had back then or the Bluesky account I have now, Twitter will be used to

• post blog updates like this one.
• open up Toon Comm to Twitter users.
• interact with Twitter artists familiar and new alike.
• follow artists and Twitter users that don't set up shop anywhere else in general.

Now with all that being said, considering the current state of Twitter, I will need to take extra precautions when creating this new account. Regardless, I am curious about what goes on in Twitter nowadays. Only one way to find out (especially since you need to make an account to get the true experience).
