FOUR Updates In One?!
Hello, everyone! AreKayHen here!
At this point, I want to share with you not three, but four updates as of today and hereon!
Starting with...
Update #1: The Birthday Art Raffle
My birthday art raffle is coming to an end soon in June! Three people are participating at this point so if you want to participate in this art raffle, now is the perfect time!
Here are the rules, in case you forgot about them.
Also, here is the link to the Google Form: https://pencartstudio.carrd.co/#raffles.
Update #2: My New Schedule
I decided to cook with this new schedule. Actually, I have been cooking for a while.
Firstly, to get better sleep at night, I reduced my art time (including overtime) from 5 to 4 hours.
Secondly, to add more time and to keep it at 40 hours, I shifted to a completely new schedule, which involves a lot of alternating patterns. As you can see, Sunday, Wednesday and Saturday get the morning and evening hours of four until eight. Monday and Friday get the evening hours, while Tuesday and Thursday have the morning hours. Add them all together, and that makes forty hours.
Lastly, I have removed the entire work aspect of my schedule because I am now unemployed. (More on that in a bit.)
Here is the visualization of my new schedule, if you want to take a look: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1snJrTUtH93bbKbkG9UUc91cTyg5ryJJsuAQ-mtB0yRw/edit?usp=sharing
Update #3: Au Naturel Doodles
To make things simpler when posting new editions of Au Naturel Doodles, I have made an executive decision to make Patreon the new home for those editions.
This is because I question the existence of my Instagram account. I don't know if I should continue using it or to delete it and use my Threads account instead.
I suppose I can figure that out when the time comes. For now, though, all future editions of Au Naturel Doodles will now be on my Patreon, which you can check out here: https://patreon.com/AreKayHen?utm_medium=unknown&utm_source=join_link&utm_campaign=creatorshare_creator&utm_content=copyLink
Update #4: A Reflection Of My 24th Year On This Planet
(I was originally going to post this update on my birthday, but hey, at least it's still May.)
As of today, on May 31st, I am officially unemployed.
What a long year of servitude it has been. I may not have liked what this job made me do in terms of outdoor labor, but at least I made friends along the way, enjoyed doing charitable works for my community and received recognition for my accomplishments.
It's good to know that I made a difference in the work I did.
Now that I am unemployed, however, I honestly have no idea what is going to happen in my future. What I do know, however, is that I now have more time to look for graphic design or illustration jobs while I am paying $300 of rent to my parents every month. Despite the job market being screwed, I built up courage to look up jobs even though there will only be a few offers at the other end.
In addition, contemplated the idea of hanging out with friends more often. Although I am more of a social introvert when it comes to interactions, I do not want to give off the impression that I am hanging out with people just for favors.
Also, with all this time available, I COULD focus on bigger projects for Pencil Artist Studio. I am not making a promise when I say this, but I believe the new schedule I made for myself will help me do that.
Perhaps, all this will eventually help me do different things as I continue to live. I don't know for certain, but it's a start.
••••••
With all that said, thank you for reading all of this in its entirety.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to post this before the day is over. Bye.
