A Friendly Reminder... And Some Bad News
Hello, ladies, gentlemen and folks! AreKayHen here!
This is a friendly reminder that commissions via Toon Comm are available this month and the month after that, so if you would like what you need and to support me at the same time, now is the best time to do that!
Keep in mind, however, as of this point forward:
My hours of availability has been reduced by 53%, from 30 hours per week to 14 hours per week.
This wasn't my decision, but rather my mother's. Although she recognizes the potential success I could get from making what I make in terms of Pencil Artist Studio and my internal drive to reach that goal, my Mom also expects me to get a job until that happens.
Although I want to hate to admit it, maybe she's right. The job market may be screwed beyond all comprehension, but that doesn't mean I shouldn't stop trying to get a job. I haven't been able to get one until now because (1) of the constant agony of job searching, (2) the fear of not getting a job in the first place that got me into the deespest funk and (3) an addiction to YouTube I now admit I have after Mom suggested I should/forced me to restrict my time on it not too long ago.
Even though TECHNICALLY she told me I should spend only two hours per day on it, since she is not an expert on art and has admitted that herself, I don't expect her to understand or appreciate the level of craftsmanship I put into it.
This might slow down the performance I usually give when making art, but I am willing to change things up for the better if it is going to work.
I hope things get better in the upcoming days... I just wish I can be SURE of it, though...
